The Multi-Donor Action “EU4ClimateResilience” is jointly co-financed by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV), and implemented by GIZ and OECD.

The overall objective of this Call for Proposals is to enable Non-Governmental Organizations in providing assistance to the selected municipalities being part of the Covenant of Mayors East by developing demonstration projects in line with their Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs), benefitting the local communities.

Projects should demonstrate the benefits of climate adaptation, including on healthy ecosystems and biodiversity with a focus on nature-based solutions and should also contribute to making local communities more aware of, and responsive to, advantages of climate adaptation and nature-based solutions in their cities.

Demonstration projects shall be implemented in cities or municipalities that are signatories of CoM East and have at least submitted a SECAP. Applicants are eligible to apply only if they have non-profit/non- commercial/public-benefit status and previous experience in working with the Municipalities.

The deadline for the submission of the application is 8 May 2025. An information session on this Call for Proposals will be held online and interested candidates will be invited.
